Are online casino strategies applicable to all casino games?

The choice of free spins games available at online casinos has never been bigger. Whether it’s poker, blackjack, craps, roulette or even just playing the slots, you can sign up, log on and spend some time relaxing – all with the real possibility of earning some money.

The thing is, when you get experienced at playing games, you start to develop routines and strategies in order to do better at them. It’s like streamlining anything. You naturally discard what doesn’t work, and evolve strategies that work well for you.

There are so many strategies out there that people have devised over the years. Some of the most well-known are the Martingale strategy, the Reverse Martingale, the Labouchere system, and Oscar’s Grind.

You may have heard of them, or maybe not. Some gamblers swear by them, others think they don’t work. In short, the conclusion is that they’re subjective. Each gambler is unique and will have a completely different attitude to risk and reward.

The more conservative, or defensive the strategy is, the more it will appeal to cautious gamblers. Similarly, the riskier a system is, the more it will appeal to high rollers. The bigger question moves away from subjectivity. The bigger question is whether you can apply strategies to all casino games.

Applying strategies to casino games

I hope I’m not shocking anyone too much when we establish straight away that the house has an advantage in gambling. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to most people. If anyone didn’t know that, then it’s about time you did.

Whether you’re playing slots, roulette, blackjack, or any other game, the casino is always going to have an inherent edge. This is why gamblers blow on the dice, invoking Lady Luck to intervene. However, when Lady Luck is away from her desk, gambling strategies can also help.

Gambling strategies are applicable to any game you can play at a casino. Whether you’re rolling dice, spinning slots, or dealing cards, there’ll always be a strategy to try and drag the odds towards your side of the table slightly more.

Some gamblers take it more to the extremes and devise plans to maximise their winnings to create vast amounts, or even to minimise losses when there’s nothing else to be done. You could even say it’s a strategy to count cards, somewhat eliminating the advantage that the

banker has over you as you try to determine what’s still in the pack to be dealt. This will split opinion however, and some brand it as cheating.

Using academia to win in the casinos

The beauty and the draw of gambling is that it is a perfect mix of luck and skill. Everyone likes exercising skills that they possess, but there’s still that last part of unpredictability that fuels the adrenalin. Whatever we do, we’ll never be able to affect the element of chance.

However, there is always a “mathematically correct” decision to make in casino games. If you make the right decision at every turn, you can eliminate the house advantage. But how to implement this, and make mathematical decisions instead of human decisions?

Well, if someone could invent a way of doing that, it would be the best strategy yet.
